Resumo
Objetivo - O objetivo deste estudo é medir os efeitos da inteligência social (SI) e da habilidade política (PS) no engajamento no trabalho (WE) e na adequação pessoa-organização (P-O), e o papel que o PS desempenha como mediador no relacionamento entre SI e as outras duas variáveis.
Referencial teórico – O modelo proposto neste estudo está fundamentado na teoria das demandas-recursos do trabalho (JD-R). No contexto deste estudo, SI e PS são considerados recursos de trabalho. O estudo procura fornecer insights sobre como esses recursos de trabalho contribuem para a adequação de WE e P-O dos funcionários.
Desenho/metodologia/abordagem – Utilizando o método de pesquisa, foram coletados dados de 246 funcionários que trabalham no setor de tecnologia da informação na Turquia, utilizando o método de amostragem por conveniência. Os dados obtidos foram analisados utilizando o método de análise de caminhos de modelagem de equações estruturais (SEM) no programa AMOS.
Resultados – Os resultados do estudo revelam que PS e SI têm efeitos significativos no ajuste WE e PO, e que PS medeia a relação entre SI e os resultados.
Implicações práticas e sociais da investigação – Este estudo dá um contributo valioso para o campo da gestão, tanto em termos teóricos como práticos, ao descobrir o impacto do SI no PS e os efeitos subsequentes destes factores na adequação do PO dos funcionários e no WE geral. Este estudo é importante por duas razões principais. Primeiro, nenhuma pesquisa anterior foi encontrada que examinasse explicitamente a relação entre SI e PS e ajuste PO. Em segundo lugar, a SP é uma área relativamente pouco explorada nos estudos organizacionais, apesar de as organizações serem muitas vezes vistas como arenas políticas.
Originalidade/valor – Este estudo é o primeiro a analisar o modelo proposto, pois não foram encontrados estudos anteriores que explorem a relação entre essas variáveis simultaneamente dentro do mesmo modelo. Além disso, faltam pesquisas que examinem os efeitos diretos do PS e do SI no ajuste do PO. Como resultado, espera-se que este estudo aborde uma lacuna significativa na literatura de gestão e contribua para a compreensão dessas relações.
