Resumo
Objetivo – Este estudo examina o papel da criatividade individual na mediação da relação entre liderança empreendedora e desempenho no trabalho.
Referencial teórico – Apresentamos e discutimos os conceitos de liderança empreendedora e de desempenho no trabalho, com ênfase nos mecanismos psicológicos envolvidos na criatividade dos funcionários, segundo a teoria cognitiva social.
Metodologia – Utilizamos uma abordagem quantitativa, por meio da modelagem de equações estruturais com o método de mínimos quadrados parciais (PLS-SEM), para analisar as relações entre as variáveis. Com uma amostra de 184 pequenas empresas do setor de moda, formulamos e testamos quatro hipóteses.
Resultados – Os resultados empíricos mostram que a liderança empreendedora aumenta significativamente a criatividade individual e o desempenho no trabalho. Além disso, a criatividade individual medeia parcialmente a relação entre liderança empreendedora e desempenho no trabalho, embora esse efeito seja baixo.
Implicações práticas e sociais da pesquisa – O estudo fornece insights teóricos sobre os mecanismos psicológicos que conectam liderança e desempenho. Também oferece orientações práticas para pequenos empreendedores do setor da moda sobre como fomentar a criatividade e melhorar o desempenho por meio da liderança empreendedora.
Originalidade – Embora muitos estudos tenham examinado o impacto da liderança empreendedora no desempenho individual, poucos investigaram os mecanismos psicológicos que influenciam o desempenho dos funcionários por meio da criatividade. A maioria dos estudos anteriores, além disso, concentrou-se em grandes corporações e ambientes de alta tecnologia, deixando uma lacuna significativa em nossa compreensão de como a liderança empreendedora funciona em pequenas empresas criativas.
