Resumo

Objetivo – Este estudo tem como objetivo analisar a influência do conflito dentro da equipe de alta administração (TMT) no desempenho inovador. Ele considera os papéis moderadores das capacidades de socialização e da tomada de decisões descentralizada, abordando uma lacuna teórica e empírica na literatura.

Referencial Teórico – Este estudo examina a relação entre o conflito dentro da equipe de gestão e o desempenho inovador. Ele diferencia o conflito de tarefas do conflito de relacionamento e explora o papel moderador das capacidades de socialização e da descentralização.

Metodologia – Adotou-se uma abordagem quantitativa para estimar três modelos teóricos que permitem avaliar as relações entre o conflito na TMT e a inovação. Esses modelos são baseados em dados coletados em organizações de vários setores.

Resultados – Os resultados mostram que o conflito de tarefas afeta positivamente o desempenho inovador, enquanto o conflito de relacionamento o afeta negativamente.

Implicações práticas e sociais da pesquisa – Para fortalecer a liderança da TMT, recomenda-se implementar programas para aprimorar as habilidades interpessoais e fomentar a confiança e a comunicação. Além disso, aconselha-se adotar estruturas descentralizadas que facilitem a inovação.

Originalidade – Este estudo oferece uma abordagem inovadora ao analisar a interação entre fatores internos da TMT e fatores estruturais organizacionais.
