Resumo
Objetivo – O objetivo do presente estudo é determinar os efeitos da diversidade de tarefas e de habilidades no esgotamento e na intenção de rotatividade.
Referencial Teórico – Esta seção descreve a diversidade de tarefas, a diversidade de habilidades, o esgotamento e a intenção de rotatividade, e apresenta as relações entre essas variáveis e as hipóteses da pesquisa.
Metodologia – Utilizando um desenho de pesquisa transversal, foram coletados dados de 200 trabalhadores manuais em várias empresas dos setores de produtos florestais e móveis na Turquia. Para a coleta de dados, foi utilizada a Escala de Diversidade de Tarefas, introduzida por Nimon e Zigarmi (2015); a Escala de Diversidade de Habilidades, introduzida por Eyi (2010); a Escala de Esgotamento, introduzida por Kristensen et al. (2005); e a Escala de Intenção de Rotatividade, desenvolvida por Mobley et al. (1978).
Resultados – O presente estudo revelou relações negativas e significativas entre a diversidade de tarefas e o esgotamento, bem como a intenção de rotatividade (r = -0,288; r = -0,216, respectivamente). Além disso, foram encontradas relações negativas e significativas entre a diversidade de habilidades e o esgotamento, bem como a intenção de rotatividade (r = -0,348; r = -0,167, respectivamente).
Implicações Práticas e Sociais da Pesquisa – Os resultados enfatizam a importância da diversidade de tarefas e habilidades nas organizações para reduzir o esgotamento e a intenção de rotatividade dos funcionários.
Originalidade – A pesquisa foi realizada nos setores de produtos florestais e móveis da Turquia. Ao examinar os possíveis efeitos protetores da diversidade de tarefas e habilidades nesse contexto setorial, o estudo fornece insights importantes sobre como a diversidade pode ser utilizada para reduzir o esgotamento e a intenção de rotatividade dos funcionários. Nesse sentido, o estudo visa preencher uma lacuna na literatura e oferecer implicações práticas para os gestores dos setores relevantes.
