Resumo
Objetivo – O principal objetivo deste artigo é investigar o efeito mediador da improvisação estratégica na orientação empreendedora e no desempenho empresarial.
Referencial teórico – Este estudo contribui para o conjunto de conhecimentos sobre orientação empreendedora e desempenho empresarial, aprofundando a teoria baseada em recursos.
Metodologia – Para estabelecer e examinar quatro hipóteses, foi utilizada uma amostra de 241 PMEs. A modelagem de equações estruturais de mínimos quadrados parciais (PLS-SEM) foi utilizada para analisar os dados.
Resultados – Os resultados empíricos revelam que o comportamento de improvisação estratégica medeia parcialmente a relação entre a orientação empreendedora e o desempenho empresarial, indicando o sucesso empresarial dos empreendedores em PMEs.
Implicações praticais e sociais – Este artigo pode ajudar a diminuir a incerteza ambiental e aprimorar a previsão. Gerentes e proprietários de empresas devem estar cientes das conclusões.
Contribuições – Este artigo preenche uma lacuna importante em nossa compreensão do papel da improvisação estratégica na orientação empreendedora e no desempenho empresarial em ambientes asiáticos, como o da Turquia, apresentando efeitos de mediação parcial correspondentes da improvisação estratégica, bem como conexões estatisticamente significativas entre orientação empreendedora, desempenho empresarial e improvisação estratégica.
