Resumo

Objetivo – Investigar a influência da liderança transformacional para o meio ambiente (LTA) no contexto das indústrias brasileiras, testando a hipótese de que os trabalhadores demonstram comportamentos de cidadania organizacional (CCO) por meio dos comportamentos de cidadania organizacional para o meio ambiente (CCO-A).

Referencial Teórico – A liderança transformacional para o meio ambiente e os comportamentos voluntários são elementos essenciais para o desenvolvimento de uma gestão ambiental mais eficiente (Asghar et al., 2022; Li et al., 2022).

Metodologia – Com a percepção de 1.068 trabalhadores, foi desenvolvido um modelo de equações estruturais (MEE) para testar as hipóteses.

Resultados – Observou-se a necessidade de as organizações brasileiras desenvolverem políticas e práticas voltadas para a gestão de pessoas e sua interface com a gestão ambiental, possibilitando a capacitação dos trabalhadores nos temas e promovendo a sustentabilidade no ambiente de trabalho. Além disso, os construtos investigados são úteis para compreender a percepção dos trabalhadores sobre o desempenho ambiental, estimulando ações voltadas para a melhoria ambiental e proporcionando oportunidades de treinamento para a resolução de problemas relacionados ao meio ambiente.

Implicações Práticas e Sociais da Pesquisa – O estudo oferece sugestões que auxiliam os líderes a incentivar comportamentos cooperativos voluntários por parte de seus subordinados e, assim, reduzir a poluição causada pelas indústrias brasileiras.
