19 Editions, 1,400+ Researchers: RBGN Brings Its Paper Development Workshop to Macau

The journal's flagship author-development initiative reaches Chinese researchers for the first time at City University of Macau

More than 1,400 researchers have passed through RBGN's Paper Development Workshop since 2018. The 19th edition took the initiative to City University of Macau, where Chinese researchers worked directly with editors João Maurício Gama Boaventura, Joelson Oliveira Sampaio, Greici Sarturi, and Simone Ruchdi Barakat on manuscripts in progress.

Alongside individual feedback sessions, the program addressed two questions authors raise most often: why articles are rejected, and how artificial intelligence is reshaping the editorial process.

The PDW's premise is straightforward — authors improve faster in conversation with editors than in response to a decision letter.
